PEC Committees

PEC has five working committees. Some committees are open to all interested people while others, by their very nature, have a limited membership. To contact a committee or to request membership, please click on the committee name below:

Communications

The PEC Communications Committee works on communications projects targeting various R-MWC constituencies (e.g. alumnae, students, parents, and faculty) and issues such as upcoming events, PEC research findings, and securing press coverage of the fight to save R-MWC.

Fundraising

The PEC Fundraising Committee works on projects to raise the necessary funds to support the operating needs of PEC and fund ongoing projects. They also handle donor relations and communications.

Legal

The PEC Legal Committee is comprised of legal professionals who work to provide pro bono research and resources, provide feedback and guidance on legal issues, and review and evaluate offers of assistance from outside law firms.

Business Plan

The PEC Business Plan Committee is a small group tasked with putting together a strategic turnaround plan for Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. As part of the planning process the committee is undertaking projects such as evaluating alternative forms of electing trustees that have proved successful at other colleges, assessing current best practices in enrollment management, college marketing, fiscal stewardship and other key operational areas, and identifying and working with higher education experts in the R-MWC alumnae body and select outside consultants. By its nature, membership on this committee is limited, but input is always welcome. Please email your ideas to the Business Plan Committee by clicking on the committee name above.

Madeline E. Miller '66, Trustee 1978-1992, 1993-1998, President Board of Trustees 1987-1992, is the coordinator for this committee.

Research

The PEC Research Committee is a small group tasked with undertaking the non-legal research necessary to provide sound alternatives for R-MWC and refute where possible with research many of the arguments used by the R-MWC Board of Trustees.
